"Lessons from the Porch"

Our Dear Friend Dr. Ed Poole writes in his new book, "Lessons from the Porch" A MUST READ!

For the first time in my life, during my 4-month hospitalization with clinical depression, I had to call a time out. I had been such a human "doing" I did not know how to be a human "being." I had been so busy with my work I had carefully avoided discovering Ed Poole the person.
While in the hospital, however, I began to realize I did not know Ed Poole outside my job titles. I had climbed the career ladder of success in my profession only to find the ladder was leaning up against the wrong wall.
The wall was wrong because almost every brick used to build that wall was made from others’ expectations for me and how I should be living out my life through my work. Very few bricks were used that contained my own expectations for who I was and what I should be doing with my life.
My compass was in my hand, not in my heart, and I thought the heart was simply that muscle to keep the blood flowing. During my hospitalization, and since, I’ve spent much of my time getting acquainted with Ed Poole – trying to understand where I’ve been, what has happened to me, and why I’m at this particular stop on my journey.
Doing this reflecting has been a new and wonderful experience for me. The experience has been new because throughout much of my life, I was afraid to get acquainted with myself. Through the reflecting, I discovered there were 22 Lessons inside me that have come to life in my writing.

Daily Quotation

The thought that you think, you think, which attracts to it; so you think it some more, which attracts to it; so you think it some more. In other words, when you have an expectation, you've got a dominant thought going on, and Law of Attraction is going to deliver that to you again, and again and again. And you say "The reason that I believe this, is because it is true." And we say, the reason that you believe it, is because you've practiced the thought. All that a belief is, is a thought that you keep practicing. --- Abraham

Who Was Socrates?

The ancient Greek philosopher Socrates is known to us through the writings of his student Plato. Socrates was born in 470 B.C. After serving in the Peloponnesian War, he studied science and philosophy. He taught by asking a series of questions intended to make the student rethink his beliefs, to test whether they are based on reason or hearsay. This is known as the Socratic method. He was executed in 399 B.C. for impiety because he questioned everything, even the gods.

The Renewal Process

Over 400 years ago William Shakespeare recognized and shared many great secrets to living a rich and happy life. These same secrets ring as true today as they did when Queen Elizabeth reigned over the American Colonies. At a recent production of "Romeo and Juliet" we were treated to an extra measure of Universal Truths through the character of the Friar in conversation with Romeo.Romeo was dwelling on his misfortunes, focusing on his loss rather than his gain. As punishment for killing a man, Romeo, was banished from Verona. The Friar forcefully reminded him that he could easily have been sentenced to death. The Friar reminded Romeo to be patient and soon Juliet would be by his side. Romeo had ever so much to be thankful for. His banishment was really a blessing. We all reach points in our lives when we feel all is lost. Nothing seems to go right. Even our greatest successes will sometimes vanish into thin air. This is especially difficult after webelieve we have attained a healthy degree of enlightenment andspirituality, but of course, there's always more growing to do. What we're really experiencing is the Natural Process of Renewal. Many refer to this phenomenon as chemicalization. It feels like endless storms, forest fires, floods, the heavy darkness just before dawn - all natural occurrences that signal dramatic change. It serves to clear out the old deadwood and revive the new andfresh. It provides the preparation time for the great things tocome, like rainbows and new plants.Major change requires major revision. A reordering of habits, ideas, priorities, maybe even a major shift in values. In order for a seed to grow, it needs sunshine and food but also rain. Rain often comes to our world in a storm. These times of chemicalization need to be welcomed. They will pass in time and you can be assured that eventually the clouds will part and the sun will shine again. The most important thing you can do when the storms come is to remember to be grateful for what you do have. Just as the Friar reminded Romeo of all his blessings, you need to remember all you have that is good. Especially during a storm. Thank the Universe for being allowed to grow and change and welcome the shifts that come.

Lesson on Karma

Karma, Dharma, the Golden Rule, you'll reap what you sow, paybacks, the Rule of Three, Ten-Fold... It's known by many names, but in the end, just another name for the same thing. Everything you do has a price; every action, a reaction. Such is life. It is all about balance. For a bad deed, a punishment or another opportunity brought for you to learn the lesson; for a good deed, a reward. We are surrounded by it every day, every moment.
Yet how often do we really live our lives with a true karma mindset? Do we realize with each deed done, each word uttered, every thought developed, each breath drawn, that karma is working? Brings a new perspective to self-responsibility. And a realization that all that you do, who you are, every aspect of you is eminated throughout yourself, the world around you, the cosmos.
Ever realize how much impact even a small thing you do has? A scientific study showed that a rock hit with a hammer "remembered" the trauma at the atomic level. And always remembered that strike throughout its existence. Even if broken down more, it still remembered that strike.
Not much different than we humans. And the universe. Everything affects everything. So the next time we think about doing that selfish thing and think that it'll only mean you'll pay later, think again. We are all connected, all energy is one and to set even just one thing in motion affects everything, even the very fabric of the cosmos. And with this is the understanding of the importance of learning self-responsibility.

Meditation of the Day

"He [our Higher Power] walks with us along the pathways of Life, and He can do for us what we could never do on our own." Fools Crow, LAKOTA

With the Creator in our lives, we are everything. Without the Creator, we are nothing. When the Creator is in our life, suddenly the impossible becomes possible. The extraordinary becomes ordinary. Things we thought could never happen start to happen. Talents we never know we had, start to blossom. Resources appear. Help arrives to give us guidance and direction. We become happy. We have peace of mind and confidence.

Oh Great Spirit, today I want You in my life. The days that I know You are with me are the days that are perfect. Let me be joyful today.

Intentions In Action ~ Desires

You can have anything and everything you could possibly dream of - even a whole new world. Our guidance told us early on that we came into this lifetime with a certain set of desires and the way for us to know that we are evolving to our highest potential is by either transcending or fulfilling our desires. If we were born in an eastern culture, where spiritual pursuits are honored more, we might go into a monastic cell and spend anywhere from 20 minutes to 20 years meditating and transmuting our desires in order to get to what the Buddhists call a state of desirelessness. But in our western world where consumerism is king and we've been barraged by advertising since day one, we are probably best off to learn how to fulfill our desires. That's where The Intention Process comes in. We can learn to manifest our desires one at a time until there aren't any more of them.
It's interesting that in the west we have been taught to sweep our desires under the rug; that there's something wrong with us if we have desires. The Intenders teachings remind us, however, that the word De-Sire comes from the Latin meaning "of the Father," and that there is a sacred aspect to our desires. All we need to do to evolve and to empower ourselves at the same time is become more proficient at fulfilling them.

Ask and It is Given

"Someone has said, "the Universe has imagined it even better than you have." And we like to add to that: The Universe got all of its information about what you like from you, and it has remembered every piece of it and has put it together in perfect formation. And so, the things that are on their way to you are so much better than you even know that you want. And as you allow them, the essence all of these things that the Universe knows that you are wanting make their way to you and appear in perfect timing for you."

Inspirational Quotes

Today - If everyone could get this selfish consciousness where they ask and expect to receive, everyone would tap into the Energy Stream and thrive. But your not knowing it won't help them know it. Pretending it isn't important to you to ask your questions won't help them get answers to questions they're not asking.

Compassion

Compassion is a unique emotion. It is passive yet it is an action. Being created in unconditional love it reaches beyond one’s senses to inhabit the flesh, form, and spirit of the receiver of compassion. It is born of our divine selves and when experienced, it inhabits the divine self of the other. It is Namaste in action – that elusive oneness we all seek. It transcends the concepts of tolerance and acceptance – it is truly the universe embracing your soul and that of another in the same breath.Compassion cannot be taught – it already rests in each one of us in the same form that enlightenment resides in the soul of every being born to this life – waiting to be re-awakened.

Women in Power

Erica Combs Tuesday October 10th!
The Power of Production by Erica CombsExcerpt from Women In Power: A Woman's Guide to Free Enterprise (Erica's New Book - Coming Soon!)
Sneak a Peak at the Table of Contents - http://goldenmastermind.com/WIP/WIP_TOC.pdf

Producing results in any enterprise requires you to become solution-oriented. This means spending more time living in the solution rather than focusing on your problems.
Doing this requires a different level of objectivity to begin to redefine problems as challenges. There is no right or wrong solution to any challenge you will face as an entrepreneur.
You have the ability to create a solution based on your experience this far, and then you have the opportunity to learn from the situation created as a result of your action in the moment.
Receiving a bill you do not have the money to pay in the moment the bill arrives on your doorstep can be a problem. As a problem, it is easy to perceive yourself as a victim of circumstance, saying to yourself, How can I pay this? I dont have the money!
Objectively, it is also possible to receive this bill and say to yourself, I am fortunate as an entrepreneur that I have the opportunity to produce results and attract this money before this bill is due.
The power of production lies in your perception of what you are able to create. It requires a transformation of focus from what you do not currently have to what you have the ability to create.
When you can produce results, then struggle whether financial or emotional becomes a situation from the past. The ability to produce results also provides the conscious realization that you are in fact capable of flourishing in any given situation.
This will require you to take action as if you are already producing the results you seek. A common misconception of our society is that you will not feel successful until you have produced the results which represent success to you.
In reality, it is the exact opposite.
When you allow yourself to act as if you have already achieved your desired result and feel the fulfillment of success, and when you produce from this emotional perspective, producing results becomes much easier and a whole lot more fun.
Once again, when you are able to have fun in your enterprise and in your production it will release your resistance to the actions that create results.
After all, wouldnt creating more results in your enterprise open a new door to the solutions which would resolve many of your current challenges?
Results are what will create the finances to provide you with the leverage to have more options in life; this is why production is so powerful.
If you are seeking more results, become more productive with your time. Focus on revenue-producing activity instead of what keeps you busy.
There is a time for paperwork, personal development and research, and that time is after the close of business for the day or early in the morning prior to the beginning of your business day.
Shuffling papers, organizing your office, reading books, listening to CDs or tapes, or researching your company, product or opportunity is not what is going to produce results for you.
Connecting with people, marketing yourself, and closing sales are where you should be focusing the majority of your time, especially if you are financially challenged in your enterprise.
These are the three main activities that will offer you a return on your energy in a relatively short time frame.

Stress Free Life

Here is a great article by Darren Hardy of TSTN about the relationship between clutter in your life and stress.

Ask yourself, what would make me feel more peaceful, calm and inspired at home, at the office or in my car? What would I need to eliminate and what could I add?
First and foremost, I would suggest- CLEANSE.
Clean the clutter. Your surroundings mirror the organization in your head and thus your emotional body. Don't give in to the weak excuse, "I know it looks like clutter to you, but it's how I know where everything is." If it LOOKS like clutter, it is!
See, that's the point, your mind takes on emotionally what it sees physically.
Give it the appearance of a stress-free, tidy, peaceful environment and it will be so, emotionally.
When was the last time you went into a spa and saw it cluttered with stacks of files, paperwork, bills and notepads strewn about? How would that make you feel? That is exactly why you don’t feel free of stress and relaxed in your home or office if it is a mess of visual clutter.
Three good rules I have learned that work for me:
1) One-touch rule - Never touch a piece of paper more than once. Either file it (out of sight) or chuck it. If you pick it up and set it down more than once, it is now clutter.
2) Clear - At the end of the day, clear your desk of everything (yes, everything!). File it all away. If you are working on some things, create an action file and put it all in there and in a drawer or briefcase for easy access the next day.
3) Purgatory - If you are unsure whether something is going to ever be important and there is no appropriate file for it, make a file for that (I literally label my file, “Purgatory”). If I am looking for something, I can go through it, but 99.9% of the time I don’t. Every 3-months, without even looking through the contents, I throw the entire file out. The one out of a thousand times when you throw something out that you could have used, is worth the peaceful state of mind you will have by not accumulating and keeping clutter.
That leads me to the last point…
4) Purge - Don't be a pack rat. I LOVE to throw stuff out. It's so invigorating. I feel like I am simplifying and ridding myself of psychic weightiness. It is cathartic and liberating. When you harbor stuff, it's an indication that you are also harboring emotional (stress) stuff.
You can start with cleansing your physical environment and it will start the process of cleansing your psyche and emotional “house”.
Bonus Tip: I PP in my closet too (Purgatory and Purge). The funny thing is we only really wear (regularly) 10-20% of the clothes we have cluttering our drawers and closets – you know, our “favorite stuff”. We keep that other stuff around for that rare (never) occasion when you might wear it again. It doesn’t happen (because you go back to an ‘ol favorite) and it just litters our drawers and closets anyway.
I create a purgatory section in my closet. If I don’t wear it for a year, I donate it the next. I give away a lot of clothes – nice stuff, but I just don’t wear it and I would rather not have it collecting dust, taking space and burdening my consciousness. You would be surprised how freeing and energizing it is to cleanse, simplify and streamline your “stuff”.

Alright, no more just reading and saying “oh, good idea” and not taking any action. Do it now:
1. Clear your desk now (yes, right now). File or store necessary documents (most of which is not necessary). If you are unsure, put it in a “Purgatory” box and put today’s date on it and the date 6-months (we’ll start you off slow) from now. When that date comes, don’t look and throw it out.
2. Clear the rest of your office the same way. Strive for as little visual pollution and clutter as possible – think “Zen”. Have only what inspires you in your visual environment and file or store what only reminds you of burdens and disorder.
3. Clear your bedroom and kitchen as well. All these environments need to support a stress-free consciousness. These rooms in particular need nurture and support your calm and positive state of mind.
Daily life will give you enough to be “stressed” about, what you don’t need is to constantly live and exist in a visually caustic reinforcement of stress, disorder and chaos. Eliminate the visual turmoil of your environment and you will be surprised with the energy you will have left to ward off the rest.
Feeling better already?

- Darren Hardy

Go blog wild and fire your web designer

Andy Wibbels one of the foremost authorities on blogging has one of the best books on blogging on the market on called Blog Wild. Here is a snip it form it. : : : : : Fire Your Web Designer

One reason businesses, especially small
businesses and solo professionals, flock to blogs
is because they reduce dependency on a web
design team to get ideas and announcements
online.

Developing a Web site for your business can
take weeks, sometimes months, from shopping
for a designer and negotiating a solution, to
finally getting the site launched. Developing
a Web site can not only be costly, but also
time consuming.

: : : : : Save Time and Save Money

Using a blog, you can create a Web site in
less than fifteen minutes, for less than $10,
with hosting and software included. All this,
without having to know anything about web
design. With a blog there are far fewer
decisions to make and you can be online
and publishing in the time it takes to watch a
sitcom.

My clients have found that blogs are a
simple and inexpensive way to start out
online while they are building their business,
with the eventual goal to develop towards a
more robust web design solution. I work
with others who love the blog format so
much they have abandoned their Web
sites for it, vowing to never look back.

Remember:

*If you can send an email, you can write a blog.*

That's it for now... you can grab a copy of Blogwild
at your local bookstore or online at

Must read Magazine

I love this magazine and so will you. I read them cover to cover and continue to go back for more, Read what Dan Kennedy says .........

Dan Kennedy says, "$1,000,000aire Blueprints is the NEW,
best magazine for entrepreneurs."

THE NEW, BEST MAGAZINE FOR ENTREPRENEURS, Regrettably, the Success Magazine that I grew up with, that was the place for entrepreneurs when W. Clement Stone was publishing it, passed into incompetent hands and eventually disappeared altogether. Its name was bought, ironically, out of bankruptcy, and it is currently published as a give-away at seminars. Entrepreneur magazine has steadily changed for the worse, leaving real entrepreneurs behind, trying to “image up” and be a clone of Inc. I frankly find most of it unreadable and fear for its future. A new magazine has appeared that is filling the void admirably and is absolutely worth reading — no studying — every issue: “Millionaire Blueprints”. You can find it on bookstore, grocery store and Wal-Mart newsstands or get info and subscribe at www.millionaireblueprints.com. I’ve watched it for a year or so before recommending it here and can now wholeheartedly endorse it. That does NOT mean I agree with all its content or endorse its advertisers. But this does have some of the “feel” of the old Success and the old Entrepreneur that I miss: it does a solid job with in-depth how-to articles; and it deserves support and marketplace success. I’m rooting for
it.

Welcome to $1,000,000aire Blueprints online.
This magazine is a reality because of life – my life. For as long as I can remember, I have looked at great mansions and expensive cars and wondered how their owners were able to purchase them. How did they make their money? It seemed like they knew some secret or had some knowledge that I could never attain.

I have also always been puzzled by individuals. I have seen amazing people with talent, personality, energy, charisma and great communication skills fail in business, while others, who do not seem to have a clue and who never set goals or dreamed about success, go through life getting one break after the other. I still cannot figure that one out. Tom Spinks Founder and Editor-in-Chief To subscribe just visit their website http://MillionaireBlueprints.com

Ellie Drake

A message from Ellie Drake:
Are you a Catalyst in your life?

A catalyst, of course, is a force that creates change. To live ones life to full potentials means being a catalyst for ones own creativity, projects, lifes purpose, etc. The secret to being a catalyst is to be someone whose energy, thoughts, and intention accelerate those processes - rather than one whose energy, thoughts, and intentions cause plateaus or backward movements. Being a catalyst requires being conscious of your own physiological, emotional, and mental contributions. To be aware of these contributions guides you in creating your own plan or purpose, and feeds the soul within you. Lets talk about the "turbit".

A turbit is an imaginary beast that represents a combination of a turtle and a rabbit.

A turbit embodies a turtle mindset connected to the motor skills of a rabbit. This turtle mindset produces consistency of direction, while the rabbit motor skills make possible massive and immediate action taking. The turbit, then, has the right equipment for becoming a catalyst.

Other emotional aspects of a one who is a catalyst are:

Acting with intention, without a sense of overwhelm Trust Humility Self esteem

Now lets consider a different imaginary animal, the rabtle. This unfortunate creature has the mindset of a rabbit, and the motor skills of a turtle. Rabtles think big thoughts, and always want to get their projects done yesterday. But when it comes to positive action, they are very slow to implement a plan and haphazard about quickly following through.

The emotional aspects of a rabtle include:

Stress Overwhelm Egotism Competition Perfectionism Low self esteem

Can a rabtle ever transform itself into a turbit? Yes, motivated by the awareness that being a turbit results in dreams becoming realized, combined with a determination to embrace new ways of addressing the challenges and opportunities of life.

Sales Letters

Hi Blog fans,

Take a look at what a few people are saying about the importance of good sales letters!

Do you know what the most important, yet rarely talked
about aspect of Internet marketing is?

Your sales copy.

That's right! No matter what kind of methods and
techniques you use to get traffic to your site, if you
don't have an effective sales letter, you're not going
to make any sales.

Yet, virtually all the info you find on this subject is,
at best, general info: "Use benefit packed statements,"
"Talk TO your reader, not AT him," "Use bulleted lists,"
etc. etc. This kind of advice really doesn't help you.

What if I told you that I found a product that will allow
you to quickly and easily create a sales letter, in only
2 1/2 minutes, that is guaranteed to sell your product
or service...without writing?

That's right. You just fill in the blanks and you've
instantly got a winning sales letter, guaranteed to bring
in the sales.

letter templates by midnight tonight, you'll also receive

1. Write KILLER Sales Letters With No Hassles.
Great resource.

WRITE KILLER SALES LETTERS IN UNDER 3 MINUTES
----------------------------------------------------------

Even if you can't write and don't think you have a creative
bone in your body you can create powerful, money-making
sales letters for your business/practice - just by filling
in a few blanks!

I'm talking about something I just came across -- and
purchased
-- a great, inexpensive way to write brief sales letters in
2 1/2 MINUTES!

One GOOD sales letter can bring in thousands of dollars as
I'm sure you know (I HOPE I'm preaching to the choir here.)

This brand new fill-in-the-blanks letter template system is
really quite good (and I should know -- I've studied the
subject for over a decade). The letters are pre-written for
various kinds of businesses and situations and much better
than
the dry ones selling on CD-ROMS (I've bought them also!).

And, for a change, there are actually templates for
professionals as well as product sales folks. Wow! Someone
actually has thought about those of us offering services!

These aren't major multi-page letter templates for direct
mail PACKAGES, but they are very good. Affiliate
program as well if that kind of thing interests you.
